Lotus says “Sorry Kimi!”
Kimi Raikkonen missed out on a podium finish at Silverstone due to a mistake in the team's strategy team boss Eric Boullier admits this week. The Finn was well under way for a podium finish when the team decided to keep Raikkonen out on track when the safety car was deployed rather than getting him in for a fresh set of tyres. Looking back at last weekend's British Grand Prix team principal Boullier said: “The outcome of the race wasn’t rewarding with the amount of work that has been done by the team recently.
