Young Driver Test opened up to race drivers

The FIA has announced that it is to change the regulations covering this month's F1 Young Driver Test at Silverstone to allow teams to run their race drivers in an attempt to help resolve the current Pirelli tyre problems.Following chaotic scenes in the British Grand Prix – where four drivers suffered left-rear blowouts – the governing body has revealed that it is seeking approval from the World Motor Sport Council to make revisions to the Sporting Regulations, which currently state that race drivers are unable to test in-season.While race drivers will be permitted to drive, they will only be allowed to work on tyre development and will not be permitted to work on improvements to the...
