FIA opens up Young Driver Test to race drivers
The FIA has agreed to open up the upcoming Young Driver Test to race drivers and extend it by an extra day in order to get to the bottom of the tyre issues seen at the British Grand Prix. In a statement the FIA said it "is determined to seek an urgent solution to the problem and as such the FIA will change the format of this month's Formula One Young Driver Test". Race drivers should be able to offer better feedback on the tyres and will be allowed to test as long as it is clear they are carrying out tyre tests for Pirelli.
