Perez, Vergne hit out at Pirelli failures
Sergio Perez and Jean-Eric Vergne have criticised Pirelli after they were two of five drivers to suffer failures during the British Grand Prix.
Vergne suffered a failure under braking for Stowe while Perez's tyre let go as entered the Hangar Straight.
'This is unacceptable, we are risking our lives and we shouldn't wait until something happens to all of us,' said the McLaren driver, who also suffered a tyre failure during Saturday practice.
'If it happens at 250km/h it will be a big shame so Pirelli has some work to do.'
Vergne added ‘I did not feel any warning signs and it just let go under braking'.
'I am very upset about it and something needs to be done about it soon.'
