Tyre issues pose a threat to drivers' lives, says Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton believes that the tyre blowouts witnessed at the British Grand Prix on Sunday have raised concerns about the safety of the drivers. As many as four drivers suffered a tyre blowout during the race at Silverstone with the Mercedes star being the first to lose out. The Briton was leading his home race from pole position before the left-rear tyre exploded on lap 8 forcing the driver to pit for a fresh set. 'It's just unacceptable,” Hamilton was quoted saying by Autosport. 'We had that tyre test to develop and improve the tyres to stop that from happening and after that tyre test they didn't do anything. 'Someone could've crashed.
