Pirelli promise investigation

Pirelli boss Paul Hembery has suggested that the spate of tyre failures which overshadowed the British GP represent a "new" issue for the tyre firm to investigate but refused to speculate on the cause of the problems. A day on from Sergio Perez suffering a left-rear blow-out in Saturday practice at Silverstone, Sunday's 52-lap race witnessed what appeared to be four identical incidents as Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa, Jean-Eric Vergne and Perez again all suffered rear failures. Pirelli had arrived at Silverstone confident they had solved the delamination problems seen with their tyres seen earlier this season via the application of a new bonding process and put Perez's P3 failure...
