Qualy: Hamilton Leads Merc 1-2

Lewis Hamilton put in one of his best displays of the season as he claimed pole position at Silverstone ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg. While Rosberg claimed P1 in the final two practice sessions, Hamilton was the man to secure the honours in qualifying on Saturday with a superb display in Q3. The 2008 World Champion produced a stunning final lap of 1:29.607s, which was more than four tenths better than that of Rosberg, to get his second pole of the season after China. World Champion Sebastian Vettel, who won from pole last time out in Canada, was pretty glum after qualifying as his time of 1.30.211 was only good enough for third place while his team-mate Mark Webber was fourth....
