Ricciardo tops rain-affected first practice
Daniel Ricciardo set the pace during a severely rain-affected opening practice session for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Friday morning. The Toro Rosso driver, who clocked a best time of 1:54.249 in the closing stages, led Nico Hülkenberg by 0.784 seconds, while only 11 drivers opted to record flying laps. More to follow. Friday afternoon's second free practice session at Silverstone begins at 2pm local time (GMT +1) and can be track via the GPUpdate.net live report feature
