Williams will celebrate its 600th GP at Silverstone

June 26th, 2013 (F1plus/J. Leslie/G. Roche).- The Williams F1 Team will join McLaren and Ferrari in starting over 600 Grand Prix's at the German Grand Prix but are taking the opportunity this weekend to celebrate the achievement at the British Grand Prix; the teams home event. The first GP win -from a total of 114- for the Grove based team was precisesly at Silverstone in 1979, reason why the choosing of the venue had more significance.  Williams has won 16 World Championship titles over the past 36 years.
