Horner baffled by Merc's lenient penalty

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes the sanctions for Mercedes' illegal tyre test "doesn't fit the crime". The FIA's International Tribunal found Mercedes guilty of breaching rules and bringing the sport into disrepute after they conducted a three-day test with Pirelli in Spain. However, instead of handing the Brackley squad a monetary fine or points deduction, they hit them with a reprimand and also banned them from the Young Driver Test later this year. Ferrari's Horse Whisperer has already criticised the punishment saying it is nothing more than "rap across the knuckles".
