Webber turned down F1 drives for 2014

Mark Webber says Formula One was never an option for him in 2014 and that friction at Red Bull this season did not lead to his decision to leave the sport at the end of the year. Webber has signed a deal to race for Porsche in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) from 2014 onwards, bringing his 12-year F1 career to an end. On his personal website he revealed he had offers to stay in the category but that his mind has long been made up to leave. "Yes [I had options] but since Formula One as a category wasn't on my radar for 2014, they weren't a consideration for me."
