Lotus confident of biggest step forward this year at Silverstone 22 June, 2013 Kimi Raikkonen with Alan Permane Lotus remain contenders for the 2013 Formula 1 world championship, particularly with Kimi Raikkonen, but two sub-standard results in the past two races have forced the Enstone squad to up their game, and according to their trackside operations director Alan Permane the team are confident of a big step-forward the British Grand Prix. Speaking ahead of the weekend at Silverstone Permane explained, 'We have a tighter, figure-hugging bodywork package which should give some benefit; especially if the weather is quite cool at Silverstone.
