Silverstone enjoys late surge in ticket sales

Silverstone has enjoyed a late surge in ticket sales as the British Grand Prix looms, with a circuit spokeswoman explaining to GPUpdate.net that it is still expecting to enjoy "one of its biggest" attendances in recent years despite an initially slow pick-up. Following a washed-out 2012 race weekend, during which fans were requested to stay at home on qualifying day due to flooded parking areas, venue officials have implemented a series of changes in a bid to prevent similar circumstances.
