Mercedes claims no rules were broken
Mercedes says it was not in breach of the rules by running a 2013 chassis at the post-Spanish Grand Prix test, with the team giving its argument at the International Tribunal (IT) after the FIA claimed no official permission was granted. Earlier on Thursday morning, the FIA's legal representative, Mark Howard QC, claimed that Article 22 of the Sporting Regulations may have been broken by the Silver Arrows after it opted to use its 2013 car during the three-day, 1000km tyre test, while also shunning potential approval from Race Director Charlie Whiting as 'irrelevant' However, speaking on behalf of Mercedes, Paul Harris QC - who also defended Ross Brawn's eponymous team during the...
