Murray Walker admits he is battling cancer

Legendary Formula One commentator Murray Walker has revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer but has said it has been caught early and the prognosis is good. Walker, 89, said the lymphatic system cancer was discovered after tests following a fall while on a cruise down the Rhine in which he broke his pelvis. "They've caught it incredibly early," he said. "It's treatable, the doctors say my condition is mild and I'm very hopeful." He has cancelled plans to attend the British Grand Prix at the end of the month while he undergoes chemotherapy.
