Queen honours Christian Horner with OBE

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner and 1999 British Open champion Paul Lawrie are among the sporting figures honoured by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II in her birthday list. Horner, who has helped turn Red Bull into Formula 1's most successful team, has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to motorsport. Scottish golfer Lawrie also was awarded an OBE because of his successful foundation that encourages young people to play the sport. He was a member of Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team last year. Diana Ellis, executive chairwoman of British Rowing, was knighted and is now a Dame -- one of the highest honours a British citizen can obtain.
