Christian Horner receives OBE

Christian Horner has shared his surprise after receiving an OBE in the Queen's recently revealed birthday honours list. He has been awarded the OBE for his services to motorsport. After starting his career as a driver – he describes his talent behind the wheel as 'average' – he soon moved to the management side. He joined Red Bull Racing for their first season in 2005 and has transformed the team from mid-field runners to triple constructors and drivers world champions. Horner is also head of the Arden International team that has helped nurture and develop a number of current Formula One stars through the junior ranks including Sergio Perez and Heikki Kovalainen.
