New Jersey contract in place

The promoter behind the Grand Prix of America says they have signed a "long-term agreement" with Bernie Ecclestone to stage the race in New Jersey.The event was supposed to take place this year, with F1 travelling south from Montreal for the inaugural race along the banks of the River Hudson, but construction delays led to the initial deal being 'torn up' and the 2013 calendar cut to 19 races. Officials from the Grand Prix of America were present at the Canadian GP last weekend and have now announced a new deal is in place, reported to be 15-years in duration.
