Mercedes standing by Brawn

Mercedes executive director Toto Wolff is adamant the Brackley team will not throw Ross Brawn under the bus in the tyre-gate saga. Mercedes will face an FIA International Tribunal in the coming weeks to answer questions about their recent Pirelli test. In the wake of the Spanish GP, the team conducted a private three-day test with F1's tyre manufacturer in which they ran this year's W04. Speaking in Montreal on Friday, Brawn took full responsibility for the test, saying "it was my decision to do the test, that's a fact."
