Mercedes welcome chance to explain Pirelli tyre test

Mercedes have said that they welcome the opportunity to explain their recent tyre test with Pirelli following the news that Formula One racing’s governing body, the FIA, will bring the matter before its International Tribunal.An initial FIA investigation revealed that Mercedes’ 1000-kilometre tyre test, conducted in Barcelona in May using a 2013 car, may have breached F1 regulations which limit in-season testing.
