Alonso: Ferrari lacked pace

Fernando Alonso says he just didn't have the pace to challenge in Monaco, even before his F138 was compromised by a piece of Sergio Perez's bodywork. The Ferrari started Sunday's 78-lap grand prix in sixth place and was unable to make up positions at the start. Added to that, Alonso soon lost ground to the frontrunners, falling further and further back. His efforts to fightback where undone when a piece of Perez's bodywork became lodged in Alonso's front wing, hampering his car's aerodynamic performance.
