Toro Rosso, Renault announce agreement

Toro Rosso will be powered by Renault engines from the 2014 Formula 1 season onwards, both parties announced at a press conference in Monaco on Sunday. The Faenza-based outfit is supplied by Ferrari under the current regulations, but will switch to the French manufacturer for the start of the new turbocharged V6 era. "We are very pleased to have reached an agreement to use Renault power units from the 2014 season onwards, when the new regulations will present interesting challenges," Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost said of the agreement.
