Red Bull lodges protest over Mercedes test

Red Bull has filed a protest against Mercedes ahead of this afternoon's Monaco Grand Prix, with the reigning World Champions questioning whether the Silver Arrows had been permitted to complete its recent tyre test at the Circuit de Catalunya. Following the Spanish Grand Prix, during which Mercedes drivers Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton dropped from the front row to sixth and 12th amid intense tyre degradation, Mercedes amassed 1000km of running at the Montmeló venue.
