Williams set to confirm 2014 Mercedes power

Williams is almost certain to announce it has signed a deal with Mercedes to use their power units from 2014 onwards in a three-year deal. In Monaco on Saturday Mercedes executive director Toto Wolff confirmed talks are taking place with the Grove outfit, which is keen to drop Renault power because of the cost of its engine package. "It's clear we are losing an engine customer in 2015 [McLaren to Honda] and for Mercedes it is important to have a regular business case and it is important to have at least three customers from 2015 onwards," he said.
