Alonso admits he may not win Monaco GP

Fernando Alonso confessed that his chances of winning the Monaco Grand Prix were dim after he qualified sixth on Saturday, potentially extending Ferrari’s 11-year barren run on the sinewy streets of Monte Carlo. At a track where grid position is vital, the Spaniard could do no better than sixth with championship rivals Sebastian Vettel qualifying in third and Kimi Raikkonen in fifth. 'I think it's going to be difficult,' Alonso was quoted saying by Autosport. 'It's not the best qualifying position if you want to fight for the race win.
