Button laments loss of power in Q3

Jenson Button was left to ponder what might have been after suffering a technical issue during the shootout qualifying phase in Monte-Carlo on Saturday afternoon, with the McLaren driver unable to complete a representative final lap after losing power. Button, who claimed pole position and victory at the venue in 2009, will start the race from ninth position, two positions behind Mexican team-mate Sergio Pérez. "I’m not sure what happened on my final lap in Q3," said Button. "We had an issue with the car right at the end – I didn’t have any power, so I couldn’t post a quick lap.
