Rosberg registers a hat-trick, claims pole in Monaco
Nico Rosberg claimed his third straight pole position and Mercedes’ fourth in a row after he registered the top time during qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix on Saturday. The German clocked a time of 1 minute 13.876 seconds around the sinewy and drying Monte Carlo circuit in a session hit by rain early on. “Could have been a lot easier out there,” Rosberg said referring to the tricky conditions. “It was changing so much. You had to be on the right tyres at the right time” Mercedes, however, is yet to win a race this season as its long run pace on the quick-degrading Pirelli tyres has not been durable enough. “There’s still a lot of question...
