Alonso cruises to home victory in Spain

Fernando Alonso cruised to victory at his home race, the Spanish Grand Prix, after coming through from fifth on the grid to first in the opening laps where he stayed for the remaining 60. Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen split the Ferraris in second, unable to challenge the Spaniard for the victory but comfortably finished ahead of Felipe Massa in third. Sebastian Vettel, who was odds on favourite to win, didn't have the race pace to match those ahead despite jumping Lewis Hamilton at the start to take second - but he faded in the race to finish over 40 seconds behind Alonso.
