Massa and Gutierrez handed grid penalties for blocking

Felipe Massa and Esteban Gutierrez have both been given three place grid penalties for blocking during today's Spanish Grand Prix qualifying session. Massa was deemed by the stewards to have blocked Mark Webber during today's Mercedes dominated qualifying. Gutierrez was given the grid penalty for holding up Kimi Raikkonen's Lotus in the first qualifying session, failing to get out of his way through the sector three chicane. Massa will drop from sixth to ninth with the addition of the penalty, with Gutierrez dropping from 16th to 19th. Image courtesy of Octane Photographic
