Alonso leads Ferrari 1-2 in rain-hit first practice in Spain

To the delight of the Spanish crowd, local hero Fernando Alonso went quickest in the first practice session in Barcelona leading a Ferrari 1-2 from teammate Felipe Massa. The Spaniard set a time of 1 minute 25.252 seconds at the end of the session, which was hit by rain. The two-time world champion made the most of the drying track to post the quickest time. But the times in the rain-interrupted session were far from any indication of what the order would look like for the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.
