Allison replaced as Lotus technical director

Lotus have announced that their highly-regarded technical director, James Allison, is leaving the team and will be replaced by Nick Chester, formerly their engineering director. Allison departs after working with the team most recently since 2005 and previously from 1991-1992 and 1994-1999. His future plans have not yet been made public.Chester, meanwhile, has worked at Enstone since 2000, previously as engineering director, head of performance systems, head of vehicle performance group and race engineer. Prior to joining the team he spent five years at Arrows. “We are pleased to announce Nick Chester as our next technical director,” said Eric Boullier, Lotus team principal....
