Symonds: Marussia will survive

Marussia technical director Pat Symonds concedes taking away the prize money from the smaller teams will "really hurt" but he is confident his outfit will survive even if things get a little tougher financially. Under the new Concorde Agreement, the team that finishes 11th in the Constructors' Championship will not get a cent from the sport's $698.5m prize fund as the $10m they received in previous years has fallen away. Marussia finished 11th in the Championship last season and Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has stated: "They don't have a commercial agreement because they are not in the top ten.
