Fry: Alonso was fast enough to win

Ferrari Technical Director Pat Fry believes that Fernando Alonso would have been able to fight for victory in Bahrain on Sunday afternoon if it was not for his DRS failure, with the Spaniard being forced to pit on two occasions after the device stuck open. Having overcome pole-sitter Nico Rosberg in the early stages of the race, Alonso had settled into second behind ultimate winner Sebastian Vettel when his problem arose, leaving Fry to ponder what could have happened under normal circumstances.
