'Bahrain confident of F1 future'

Bahrain is eager to sign a new contract with F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone with a five-year deal being mooted. The ninth edition of the grand prix, which was first held in 2004, took place this past weekend with Sebastian Vettel claiming the victory. However, once again the race was run under a cloud of controversy given the ongoing protests in the island kingdom. But despite the backdrop, Ecclestone is "happy" to extend Bahrain's stay. "I feel they do a super job and we're more than happy to give them a new contract for five years. I don't see any problems," said F1 supremo.
