Kovalainen becomes Caterham reserve
"true">Heikki Kovalainen has returned to Caterham as a reserve driver, the team for which the Grand Prix winner contested the last three Formula 1 seasons. The Finn will take part in practice sessions at the upcoming Bahrain and Spanish Grands Prix, aiding the Leafield-based outfit with the development of its CT03 chassis. Having left the sport at the end of 2012 after growing frustrated with the lack of progress at Caterham, Kovalainen will now complete mileage "as part of a formal technical development role" to help the squad, currently headed by Charles Pic and rookie driver Giedo van der Garde, in its fight with key rivals Marussia.
