Webber, Gutierrez handed Bahrain grid penalties

By Editor on Sunday, April 14, 2013 Mark Webber and Esteban Gutierrez have been given grid penalties for next weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix. Webber hit Jean Eric Vergne at Turn 6, spinning the Toro Rosso driver. Webber subsequently retired after a wheel was not fitted properly at his pit stop. Webber will therefore drop three places on the grid next weekend. The Sauber rookie was running in the midfield early on in the Chinese Grand Prix but misjudged his braking point for the hairpin and hit Adrian Sutil, eliminating both from the race. As a result, the stewards deemed that Gutierrez was at fault and he will drop five places on the grid in Bahrain.
