Rosberg wary of severe tyre degradation

Nico Rosberg spoke in a cautious manner after the opening two practice sessions for the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai, admitting that despite showing impressive raw pace, his Mercedes team has plenty of work to do in terms of long run performance. The German, who topped the timesheets in the morning, was one of many drivers to suffer with extreme degradaton while lapping on Pirelli's Soft compound tyre during the second session and is eyeing significant progress in this area overnight.
