Rain And Technical Gremlins Frustrate Van Der Garde

Giedo van der Garde is already looking forward to his final test day in the Caterham CT03 after a combination of poor weather and unreliability halted his progress on Friday. The Dutch rookie took over the car from Charles Pic but only managed 48 laps in amongst the showers in Barcelona. With Van Der Garde facing one more day’s preparation on Sunday before the trip to Melbourne for the season opener, the 27 year old is hoping to make up for lost time when he gets back in the car. “We knew day two of this test would be another stop / start day with the weather forecast being bad for at least half the day and the forecast wasn’t wrong.
