Hamilton quickest after wet morning

The teams were greeted by a damp track on the first morning of the final test Sutton Images Enlarge Lewis Hamilton set the pace on a cold and wet start to the final pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya as drivers dodged rain showers to try and make the most of the remaining track time ahead of the opening race. Rain overnight meant the teams were greeted by a damp surface, and despite sunny spells, heavy showers dictated track conditions. There was no dry running before lunch, although between showers intermediate tyres could be used as the racing line started to dry before the next downpour.
