Lowe to stay at McLaren through 2013

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh has confirmed that technical director Paddy Lowe will remain with McLaren for the 2013 season. The Brit has been linked with a move to Williams and Mercedes, with the latter having confirmed it has approached him about a move to Brackley. Whitmarsh however confirmed that Lowe, who was absent at the launch of the new MP4-28, will remain at McLaren throughout the '13 season, but his future after that remains "unclear". Lowe personally chose not to attend the event on Thursday to avoid detracting from the launch of the new car.
