De la Rosa joins Ferrari as development driver

Pedro de la Rosa has joined Ferrari for the 2013 season in the role of a development driver for the Italian team. With HRT absent from the current season’s entry list, the Spaniard was left without a seat to continue in Formula 1. A highly experienced former test and reserve driver for McLaren, the 41-year-old will assist Ferrari in its simulation programmes along with compatriot Marc Gene.
