Nielsen leaving Caterham

Caterham Sporting Director Steve Nielsen will leave the team next month, it has been confirmed. Nielsen only joined the Leafield outfit at the end of 2011, having previously worked for among others Tyrrell and Renault, where he worked alongside Caterham's Chief Technical Officer Mike Gascoyne. "Caterham F1 Team has today confirmed that Steve Nielsen is leaving his post of Sporting Director in January," a team spokesperson said. "The team is currently assessing the best options for his replacement and will make an announcement in due course."
