Schumacher: Haug departure tears a hole in our sport

Retiring seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher commented on Norbert Haug’s departure from Mercedes, which was announced on Thursday and was caused by the dearth of good results for the team in the last three years, by saying it marks “a big break” in the sport.  Michael SchumacherHaug will leave Mercedes after 22 years as the company’s head of motorsport, having failed to translate the success achieved as an engine supplier to McLaren into a consistent title challenge as a team.
