Haug to leave Mercedes post

Norbert Haug will leave his position as head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport at the end of 2012, it has been announced. After spending more than 22 years in the role his contract will come to an end by mutual agreement with Mercedes’ board of management.Haug took charge of Mercedes’ motorsport division in October 1990 and later led the German car manufacturer’s successful comeback into Formula One racing. During his tenure, Mercedes and its partners won six Formula One world championship titles and took 87 Formula One victories .
