Turkish return down to government

A return to the Formula One calendar for the Turkish Grand Prix from next season is subject to government approval. The FIA's Annual General Assembly has been taking place in Istanbul this week and a potential return of the Turkish Grand Prix has been discussed, with the FIA opening up a spot on the calendar for an extra European round next season. The Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) has now confirmed that an agreement has been reached in principle but requires government approval.
