Michael Turner, the legendary and beloved British artist whose work became synonymous with the spectacle of motorsport, passed away peacefully last week at the age of 91 after a long illness. His legacy is woven into the very fabric of racing culture: for decades, his paintings graced programmes, posters, paddock walls, team offices, and the homes of fans and champions alike.
