Why did Racing Bulls elect to sign Arvid Lindblad?

Explaining the decision to promote Red Bull's junior driver Arvid Lindblad into an F1 race seat, Racing Bulls team boss Alan Permane reasoned that the British driver earned his promotion with his 'rapid progression marks him as one of the standout young talents in the sport.' Ahead of this weekend's season-closing Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Racing Bulls announced Liam Lawson will stay with the team for a second year while Red Bull's junior driver Arvid Lindblad will make his debut with the Faenza-based outfit.
